London Venture Capital Network Ltd ("LVCN")

1. Definitions

 

1.1 “LVCN” means London Venture Capital Network Ltd, a company incorporated in England & Wales with its registered office at 483 Green Lanes, N13 4BS.

1.2 “Member” means any individual or entity accepted by LVCN into one of the membership tiers set out at Clause 2.

1.3 “Membership Year” means the 12‑month period commencing on the Effective Date or each anniversary of that date.

1.4 “Standard Member" - benefits described on LVCN website.

1.5 “Nomad Member" - benefits described on LVCN website.

1.6 “Premium Member" - benefits described on LVCN Website.

1.7 “Type 1 Event” refers to normal LVCN events, usually between 30 - 200 guests, such as our Female Founder Day, and Spacetech Workshop. Labelling of a Type 1 Event is at LVCN's discretion.

1.8 “Type 2 Event” refers to LVCN's flagship events, typically with over 350 guests, historically including our London VC Summit and the London VC Winter Ball. Labelling of a Type 2 Event is at LVCN's discretion.

1.9 “Type 3 Event” refers to LVCN's smaller, intimate events of up to around 40 people, usually restricted to specific audiences via applications. These also include any international delegations that LVCN hosts. Historical examples include our Investor Breakfasts, and Global innovation Majlis (delegation to Riyadh). Labelling of a Type 3 Event is at LVCN's discretion.

1.10 “VIP Ticket” means a ticket designated as such by LVCN, typically involving enhanced hospitality or restricted‑capacity programming. Exact benefits are labelled on ticket descriptions for each respective event where a VIP ticket is available.

1.11 “Classification” means the self‑selected status of a Member (see Clause 3.3), chosen from the list of potential classifications of a member's occupation on their membership tier application form and subject to Clause 3.2.

1.12 “Venture Scout” is a person acting on behalf of an investor (VC, Angel, or otherwise) to find and report investment opportunities for the investor.

1.13 “Venture Partner” is a person who acts on occasion on behalf of an investor (VC, Angel, or otherwise) to consult them on potential investment opportunities, similarly to a Venture Scout, but also including market research, technical analysis, or similar.

 

2. Membership Tiers & Benefits

 

2.1 The benefits attached to each tier are set out in Schedule A and may be updated in accordance with Clause 11.

2.2 Nomad membership is intended for Members whose primary residence is outside the United Kingdom or who reasonably expect to attend fewer than two (2) in‑person events per Membership Year.

2.3 Benefits are personal, non‑transferable and subject to availability.

 

3. Eligibility, Application & Classification

 

3.1 Applicants must submit a completed application form, select a Classification and pay the applicable Membership Fee.

3.2 All Classifications are subject to verification by LVCN. LVCN may, in its absolute discretion, (a) require additional information, (b) re‑classify an applicant, or (c) refuse or revoke membership where the applicant does not meet LVCN’s criteria.

3.3 Re-classification by LVCN will be subject to the following definition guidelines for each classification:

• Angel Investor: A natural person investing personal capital in start‑ups or early‑stage ventures, with shares held in at least 2 privately held companies.

• VC Investor: An employee, partner or representative of a venture capital fund investing professionally. This does not include venture scouts, or venture partners (see Clause 1.12, 1.13).

• Family Office: A single‑family or multi‑family office investing on behalf of one or more families.

• Other LP: An institutional limited partner or allocator investing into venture funds (e.g. pension fund, endowment).

• Founder: A founding shareholder, director or C‑level executive of a trading company.

• Operator: A senior functional expert or executive working for an actively trading startup.

• Other Investor: An investor not fitting the above categories, including corporate VCs and syndicates.

• Student: An individual enrolled full‑time at a recognised educational institution.

• Government: An official or employee of a governmental body or public innovation agency.

• Other: Any applicant not falling within another category, subject to LVCN approval.

3.4 Upon acceptance, Members will receive a unique Membership Number for use when registering for events and accessing Member‑only resources in most cases. Alternative methods of accessing member benefits may be in place, such as access to member portals on the LVCN website.

3.5 All members must be 18 years of age or older.

 

4. Membership Fees & Payment

 

4.1 Fees for all membership tiers will be represented at “www.https://www.londonvcnetwork.com/plans-pricing”

4.2 The price of all tiers may be subject to change. Any changes will be communicated to members at least 1 month before the change takes effect via the email associated with a membership and through any online portals where applicable.

4.3 Monthly fees are collected by direct debit or recurring card mandate on the same date every month as the date that the membership plan was purchased, unless cancelled, or unless an annual plan was purchased, in which case, fees will be charged on the same date, every year, unless cancelled.

4.4 Annual fees are due in advance and are non‑refundable except as expressly provided in Clause 8.

4.5 LVCN may refuse or suspend benefits where any fee remains unpaid.

 

5. Event Access & Ticketing

 

5.1 All event tickets are issued exclusively via the lu.ma platform, regardless of membership status.

5.2 Member ticket categories and discounts may be hidden from public view and accessed only via the Member portal or a unique link to a lu.ma page for a specific event.

5.3 Members are not automatically granted tickets for events regardless of their membership tier.

5.4 Members must register or apply (where applicable) to attend each event using their unique access link or discount code.Registrations are subject to approval and cross‑referencing of an active membership by LVCN.

5.5 For any free tickets given to members as a direct benefit of their membership tier, access to the event where a free ticket was provided, is contingent on having an active membership of the same tier through which the free ticket was issued. LVCN reserves the right to refuse entry or access to events for those attending an event without an active membership, where free access was gained through having a membership, and this membership is not active at the time of attending the event. LVCN is happy to review individual cases relating to this clause.

5.6 Tickets gained through membership (discounted or free) are personal, non‑transferable and must not be resold. Misuse may result in membership termination, or being charged a fee relative to the value of the ticket that was re-sold or transferred in addition to an administrative fee of up to £50 (+VAT).

 

6. Priority & Approval

 

6.1 Where an event is oversubscribed, Members receive priority over non‑Members. Within Member tiers, allocation is at LVCN’s discretion.

6.2 LVCN reserves the right to refuse or cancel any ticket, including Member tickets, where (a) the attendee’s Classification is inappropriate for the event’s objectives, (b) the attendee fails to comply with these Terms, or (c) capacity or security considerations so require.

 

7. Member Obligations & Code of Conduct

 

7.1 Members shall act professionally, respectfully and in good faith at all LVCN events and on all LVCN platforms.

7.2 Harassment, discrimination, aggressive solicitation, or unauthorised marketing is prohibited.

7.3 Members must keep confidential any information expressly marked confidential or which a reasonable person would understand to be confidential.

7.4 Members agree not to share LVCN reports, discount codes, or portal content outside their organisation without prior written consent.

7.5 Events are recorded/photographed; attendees consent to reasonable use of their likeness for LVCN promotional purposes.

 

8. Cancellation, Suspension & Termination

 

8.1 Members may cancel at any time by written notice. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing cycle; no pro‑rated refunds are given.

8.2 LVCN may suspend or terminate membership with immediate effect if the Member (a) fails to pay any fee within 14 days of due date, (b) materially breaches these Terms, or (c) acts in a manner likely to bring LVCN into disrepute.

8.3 Where LVCN terminates without cause, a pro‑rata refund of any unused portion of an annual fee will be made.

 

9. Changes to Membership Tier

 

9.1 Members may request an upgrade or downgrade at any time; upgrades take effect immediately upon payment of any fee difference, downgrades at the next renewal.

9.2 LVCN may, with 30 days’ notice, adjust benefits or pricing for any tier. Members may cancel before the effective date of such change without penalty.

 

10. Intellectual Property

 

10.1 All LVCN reports, publications and event materials remain the intellectual property of LVCN or its licensors.

10.2 Members receive a limited, non‑exclusive, non‑transferable licence to use such materials for personal or internal business purposes only.

 

11. Variation of Terms

 

11.1 LVCN may amend these Terms on 30 days’ written notice. Continued use of membership benefits constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

 

12. Privacy & Data Protection

 

12.1 LVCN processes personal data in accordance with its Privacy Notice and applicable data‑protection legislation, including the UK GDPR.

12.2 By applying for membership, the applicant consents to such processing, including verification of Classification and the sharing of limited data with event partners strictly for ticket fulfilment.

 

13. Liability & Indemnity

 

13.1 Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.

13.2 Subject to Clause 13.1, LVCN shall not be liable for (a) indirect or consequential loss, or (b) any loss of profit, revenue, goodwill or opportunity.

13.3 Total liability in respect of any Membership Year shall not exceed the total fees paid by 

13.4 The Member agrees to indemnify LVCN against any third‑party claims arising from the Member’s breach of these Terms or misconduct at an event.

 

14. Force Majeure

 

LVCN is not responsible for any failure or delay resulting from events beyond its reasonable control, including strikes, acts of God, or epidemic.

 

15. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

 

These Terms and any dispute arising herefrom are governed by English law. The courts of England & Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
