About LVCN
London Venture Capital Network (LVCN) sits at the centre of the UK and European venture capital ecosystem. We run the UK's largest dedicated VC summit, alongside a year-round programme of smaller conferences, investor dinners, a breakfast series, and an annual black-tie ball.
Our 2026 flagship event hosted over 1,700 investors, founders, and operators across four stages, with 125 speakers, and our partner network includes more than 50 VC firms. Demand for sponsorship is growing strongly, and we are now looking for a driven salesperson to help us capitalise on it.
The Role
This is a pure hunting and closing role. You will own the full sponsorship sales cycle across our events portfolio, from prospecting and pitching through to negotiation and closing.
Your buyers are senior decision-makers at banks, law firms, professional services firms, global technology companies, high-growth startups, and government and trade bodies looking to engage with the European venture community.
You will have strong assets behind you: a respected brand, a large target database, warm relationships with past sponsors, and well-structured packages that range from exhibition stands at around £2,500 to exclusive event sponsorships, with multi-event and annual partnership deals reaching £100,000 and beyond. The pipeline, though, is yours to build and own.
What you'll do
In the run-up:
-
Own and consistently hit an annual sponsorship revenue target across our full events calendar.
-
Run the complete sales cycle: outbound prospecting, discovery calls, proposal writing, negotiation, and closing.
-
Identify and time outreach around the budget cycles of corporates, government bodies, and trade delegations.
-
Manage and grow existing sponsor relationships, increasing account value year on year.
-
Build multi-event and annual partnership deals rather than one-off transactions.
-
Work directly with companies on pricing, packaging, and commercial strategy.
-
Attend LVCN events and represent the company in the market, meeting sponsors and prospects in person.
-
Network at external events across London to generate new opportunities.
-
Use AI tools to scale prospecting and keep your pipeline moving efficiently.
-
Maintain accurate pipeline and forecasting in our CRM.
What we need from you
Non-negotiable
-
A proven track record of closing B2B sales. You must be able to walk us through specific deals you personally sourced and won, including deal size and your role in the process.
-
Comfortable selling deals from around £5,000 up to £100,000 and beyond to senior decision-makers (Partners, CMOs, Heads of Marketing, and government or trade representatives).
-
Strong written communication and a confident face-to-face presence.
-
A self-starter who can build and manage their own pipeline with minimal supervision.
-
Enjoys networking and building relationships in person.
-
Comfortable using AI tools to work more efficiently.
-
Full right to work in the UK. We are not able to offer visa sponsorship.
Strongly preferred
-
Experience selling sponsorships, exhibitions, media partnerships, or events.
-
Experience with longer-cycle institutional sales (government, trade bodies, or country delegations).
-
Familiarity with venture capital, financial services, or professional services audiences.
-
Existing relationships with relevant marketing or partnerships decision-makers.
What you get
-
A base salary of £30,000 to £35,000, plus uncapped 20% commission with accelerators above target.
-
A realistic on-target earnings range of £55,000 to £75,000, with no cap, so strong performers earn well beyond it.
-
A respected brand that opens doors, and a head start with warm sponsor relationships.
-
Direct access to the founders and influence over commercial decisions.
-
A front-row seat in the UK venture ecosystem, including attendance at all core LVCN events.
-
A clear path to progression: this role is the foundation of a future commercial team.
-
Hybrid working, London-based.
